JDescribe provides both standard description as well as DNA (TM) Dual Narration Added formats in English and French for television, films and documentaries.

DNA (TM) Dual Narration Added is a method of description whereby dual narration is added in the form of male and female narrators. This allows for a more dynamic and entertaining delivery of description. DNA was initially conceived during the process of choosing male vs female narrators for particular projects. At times it was difficult to determine which would better suit the piece, thus the idea of using both was born. Adding a dual narrative track lends itself to a more dramatic and varied performance for the listener. After hearing DNA layered into a film we knew there would be countless applications where this format could be showcased.

I've studied singing, theory and commercial voice work/narration at the Royal Conservatory of Music, York University and Ryerson.

I have completed two CDs:

'Checkered Past' and 'Poppy'

and recorded numerous jingles for television, radio and the internet.

I chose some of my favorite songs to cover by some wonderful artists I have always loved such as Lou Reed, Elvis Costello and Randy Newman. While I don't write my own material I have recorded some fantastic cover songs, and always looking for original material to sing and include on my next CD.

I am a non-union artist and have recorded virtually every genre of voiceovers for many years since I first started singing jingles as a teen. I've worked with and recorded for stations such as
Citytv, MTV, TacTV, The Food Network, YTV, CBC, The Comedy Network, Star TV, Space, and Bravo!

Some programs I have recorded narration for include:
Stargate SG-1, How To Be Indie, Little Bear, Super Why, Bo On The Go, Turbo Dogs, Erky and Perky, Mighty Jungle, Who Do You Think You Are?, Canada's Super Speller, Danger Bay, Caitlin's Way, That's So Weird, Hotbox, The Jon Dore Television Show, Doctorology, Little Mosque On The Prairie, Kenny vs. Spenny, Glenn Martin, DDS, Look-A-Like, Canadian Case Files, The Rig, Inside The Box, 24 Hours In..., Departures, Megaworlds, Second City's Next Comedy Legend, and Vancouver Paralympics 2010.

I've recorded the DV narration for films such as:
A River Runs Through It, Mask, Crossing Delaney, America's Sweethearts, The River Wild, Clean and Sober, Love on the Dole, Stanley and Iris, After the Harvest, Get Christy Love, Winterset, The Lady and the Highwayman, David and Goliath, Obsession, The Glove, Savages, The Life's and Loves of Mozart, Dracula, Frankenstein, Little Big Man, A Star is Born, Royal Wedding, On Golden Pond, Uncommon Valor, Slaughterhouse-Five, Trailer Park Boys: The Movie, Insomnia, Akeelah and the Bee, A Christmas Carol, Miracle on 34th Street, The Interrogation of Michael Crowe, The Paper Chase, Arcanum, 13 Going on 30, Love Affair, A Beautiful Mind, Hotel, Airport 75, Between Truth and Lies, Fletch, Ghost Story, Grumpy Old Men, Grumpier Old Men, Jack the Bear, Lorenzo's Oil, Out of Africa, Six Degrees of Separation, Philadelphia Story, Twins, The Man Who Knew Too Much, Heroes, I'm Not Rappaport, Same Time Next Year, Deadly Betrayal, Melvin and Howard, Jesus Christ Superstar, Anatomy of an Illness.

In 2009 I was awarded the "
Ontario Volunteer Service Award" for my narration for Voiceprint Canada over the years providing narration for the vision -impaired.

In 2008 I was awarded the prestigious "IAAIS" (International Association of Information Services) award for narration -program of the year.

In 2007 after recording renditions of Elton John songs- which led to the donation of funds raised for Voiceprint Canada through sales; my singing was acknowledged on the highly respected eltonjohnworld.com worldwide fan website for the money raised.

I have recorded DV (described video) narration for television stations: movies, shows/programs and promo's currently airing on television....These styles include: comedy, science- fiction, adult content such as the comedy network, sitcoms, children's programming plus animation and documentaries. I have also voiced for audio books, e-learning and medical text as well as trailers and promos airing nationally for many specialty channels throughout the country. Plus numerous commercials for television.

I truly love adapting my sound to any voice project- having been told over the years I can copy or imitate just about anything the producer requires.

I have a home studio where I can record any voice project while using the most modern and state of the art equipment. These include Pro Tools, as well as a variety of microphones-listed on my Studio page. Recorded work can be delivered in all standard audio formats such as via ftp, wav-file, mp3, CD.

Thank you for visiting my website and hope you will enjoy my samples of singing and commercial/narration work.
