Volunteer's CD raises funds for VoicePrint People A North York woman who volunteers with VoicePrint Canada has come up with a musical way to help raise funds for the organization. Melissa Ungar is a singer who just recorded her first CD. Titled Checkered Past, the CD includes her version of classic hits including Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word and Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me. Ungar also volunteers with Voiceprint, reading and recording text from Canadian magazines and newspapers. They are broadcast across the country for blind and print-restricted Canadians. The Mirror was recently added as one of the papers being recorded by VoicePrint volunteers. Ungar will be donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the CD to Voiceprint. Fittingly VoicePrint's logo, web address and 1-800 number appear on the back of Melissa's CD cover. For more on Voiceprint, visit www.voiceprintcanada.com or call 1-800-567-6755. Visit www.melissaungar.com for more on Melissa Ungar's music. |
